Fall, 2009 - SkyCop® Has Big Presence in Mid-South City Allowing Officers to “Work Smarter”

ESI Companies, the owner of SkyCop® platform, completed the sale and installation of over 70 mobile LPR units equipped with FLIR technology on patrol cars for the Memphis Police Department in Memphis, Tennessee. The technology has been proven so successful that the MPD plans to purchase 60 additional units during 2010. SkyCop® units read license plates and send information in real-time to the award-winning Real Time Crime Center. At that point, the data is matched with archived information housed in multiple data systems, red-flagged, and returned to the patrol car’s onboard computer so that the officer can make key decisions instantaneously.
